Work package 2 - Antigen selection & expression

The main objective of this work package is to design, generate and characterise several live attenuated measles-vectored vaccine candidates expressing immunogenic antigens from Zika virus.  

Specifically it will:

  • Select appropriately immunogenic antigens from Zika virus
  • Express these antigens from mammalian expression plasmids for characterisation
  • Insert these antigens into measles vector and generate recombinant viruses by reverse genetics
  • Amplify and characterise in vitro these recombinant viruses
